Zacian V-Union Deck ~ PTCG92

Overview

Before Zacian V-Union is discussed, let me give some introduction about V-Union Mechanics. To play a V-Union Pokemon, all four different parts of V-Union Pokemon must be in your discard pile. Once all four parts of V-Union Pokemon are in your discard pile, you can assemble all four parts together and play it as 1 V-Union Pokemon on your bench. Similar to VMAX Pokemon, you opponent takes 3 Prize Cards when your V-Union Pokemon is knocked out.

Zacian V-Union is pretty tough Pokemon since it has 320 HP with -30 Grass Resistance. As expected from Metal Pokemon, it has Fire Weakness. It has wide range of attacks since every part of it posses 1 attack. And, all the attacks are useful in their own way.

My favorite attack is its last attack, Master Blade which has 340 damage. This pure power can OHKO any Pokemon in the current era. You don't need to fulfil any condition to get that massive damage. All you have to do is to attach 3 Metal Energy and 1 Colorless Energy to Zacian V-Union and you are good to use its attack. Four Energy for 340 damage is very good deal but you need to discard 3 Energy from Zacian V-Union after you use the attack.

Its second attack, Royal Blade Dance [2 Metal Energy and 1 Colorless Energy] reduces your opponent's Active Pokemon damage by 150. This attack can be used to make Zacian V-Union survive longer or stall for extra turn when your are preparing for its attack, Master Blade. In some cases, you might be able to completely nullify your opponent's attack.

The third attack, Steel Slash can 2HKO your opponent's VMAX Pokemon since this attack has 200 damage [2 Metal Energy and 1 Colorless Energy].

The first attack, Union Gain can be used to accelerate 2 Metal Energy from discard pile to Zacian V-Union for 1 Colorless Energy. With Union Gain, you only need 2 turns to attach 4 Energy to Zacain V-Union to use its attack, Master Blade.

Discarding V-Union Cards

To play Zacian V-Union, you need to discard its parts either from your hand or from your deck. So, you deck definitely must have cards that can discard card.

Using Professor Burnet, you can discard 2 Cards from your deck. This way you can discard you can 2 parts of Zacian V-Union from your deck.

To discard Zacian V-Union parts from your hand, you need to have them in your hand first. Other than using Items such Great Ball to find those parts, you can use Adventurer's Discovery to find 3 parts from your deck since this Supporter allows you to find 3 V Pokemon from your deck.

After that, you can use Galarian Articuno V Ability, Reconstitute to discard 2 parts and draw a card. Alternatively, you can also use Professor's Research to discard those parts if they are already in your hand.

Familiar Bell can also be used to find Zacian V-Union parts as long as 1 part is in the discard pile.

Energy Setup

It is very difficult to attach Energy to Zacian V-Union in the early game as you have to discard its part first. But, you can still attach Metal Energy to other Pokemon and then transfer those Energy to Zacian V-Union by using Bronzong Ability, Metal Transfer once it is summoned.

To accelerate Metal Energy, Zacian V Ability Intrepid Sword can be used. Using this Ability, you can attach Metal Energy to Zacian V if there are any Metal Energy in the top 3 cards you draw. Also, Metal Saucer can be used to attach extra Metal Energy from your discard pile to any of your Metal Pokemon.
